Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information QuickServe collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address
• Name
• Phone number (optional)
• Avatar image (optional)
• Dietary preferences and favorite cuisines (optional)
• Authentication provider (email/password, Google, Apple)

Order information

• Items ordered, restaurant, total, timestamps
• Table number (when ordering via QR code)
• Approximate location at time of order (to warn if you are ordering from outside the restaurant)
• Payment method (e.g. card, cash) — but not payment card numbers

Device and usage information

• We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to count page views and understand broad usage patterns. Plausible does not set cookies, does not track users across websites, and stores only aggregate metrics. No personal data is sent to Plausible.
• Error monitoring via Sentry captures exception stack traces but is configured with sendDefaultPII: false, meaning IP addresses, cookies, and request headers are not attached to error events by default.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account
• To fulfill the orders you place and notify you of status updates
• To share order details with the restaurant you're ordering from
• To send transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets)
• To improve the Service and fix bugs
• To prevent fraud and enforce our terms

3. Sharing

We share your information only with:

• Restaurants — the restaurant you place an order with receives your order, name, and contact information so they can fulfill the order.
• Service providers — we use Resend to deliver transactional emails and Sentry for error monitoring. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
• Legal authorities — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party and do not share it for marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information as long as your account is active. Order history is retained for up to 7 years for tax and audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting privacy@fastserve.io; some records may be retained after deletion if required by law.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing
• Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@fastserve.io. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies and local storage

QuickServe does not set third-party tracking cookies. We use the browser's localStorage to keep you signed in between visits. Signing out clears these entries. Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless by design.

7. Security

We hash passwords with bcrypt, transmit data over HTTPS, rotate refresh tokens on every use, and enforce short idle timeouts on staff and admin sessions. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children

QuickServe is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email.
